When I was a kid, Deck the Halls was my favorite.

These days however...Carol of the Bells wins nearly everytime I hear it.

The Christmas in Wisconsin song rocks too, for acapella.

...Oddly enough, yes it applies, but only in the most ironic way.

I was born under the Pig sign, specifically the WATER pig. (Go look up what crabs feed on sometime.)

I was born on my dad's birthday and he was ALSO a pig sign (different element), and to boot, after a little research into the ancient branches of the family tree, I find out that we had an ancestor (pretty easy odds though on that) with a boar on the family crest.

Urban, you already answered this one halfway for me, seeing as this was also my forum handle WAY back in those embarrassing days of puberty. It was borne out of my crazyfurries101 forum name, which came out of the face that someone had already taken what was my first email address handle in those halycon days, lunancy101.

These days I debate about saving up to change the LJ name to something that'd fit me a little more closely these days. I am not entirely sure what I'd change it to, maybe the phonetic promunciation of my real name, or "sharpiespells" or "bitter-n-bright".

I'm still CF to a lot of people, but more often these days, I'm just Fuzzy.

I've seen...

Empire Records more times than is healthy... (at least 13)
Hackers twice as many times
...I think the Fifth Element is a movie people can watch 20 times and have it fresh everytime.

When I was a kid I had to be pacified with Bedknobs and Broomsticks every single day almost for about 5 or so years. Flight of the Navigator came close but not quite to it (modern rip van winkle story).

The movie I have watched the most ever though? Ghostbusters.

...The worst job I ever had was about 5 years ago. I actually ranted about it when I was fired from it.

Basically I was the 2nd shift bathroom-janitor in a machine shop section of a Kohler plant that made bathtubs, sinks, showers...and toilets. It was hell because I worked with horrible chemicals with no gloves provided, and infact when I asked for them I was told that I couldn't get them. In four hours I was supposed to clean 2 floors worth of 24 hours of bathroom gunk and dirt from the floors, and they had started selling frozen bean burritos in the work room.

This wasn't the job it was when I had the summer gig last year. Last year the job meant collecting the trash from the offices and using a light sanitizer on every surface before vacuuming. And it was regular every day 8 hour shifts, and two people did all the work.

The year I got fired it was a job of 4 hours split between five people who barely talked to each other, 2 of whom barely spoke english. I had my lunches stolen, along with one of my really good sketchbooks. I was paid less than I had been the first time around and a month after I had been fired, I got an apology call from the cleaning agency.

It turns out that I'd been fired, not because I was unable to keep up with the extremely disgusting and dangerous cleaning of the men's urinals (which they apologized for), but I had been fired because my boss had been stealing the cleaning chemicals and other supplies and blaming it all on me.

They said they'd clear my record. If I ever wanted to, I could likely reapply.

I don't. There's a lot of things that went wrong there, due to factory-management concerns and budget cuts, and I think it hasn't gotten any better in recent years.

If I could go back and say anything to the management of that job?

"It's just not worth it."

...If I had the choice of being named differently, it'd be Felicity, or some name that's more animal related, like Gryph (yes I know this is a boy's name), instead of having a vague russian name which means "Little Mary". I've only lived up to the first half in stature, and I am not the hell anything like the Virgin Mary, or Mary Magdelene.

...Yes, once in highschool.

It's another one of those Ecology-partner-Joe horror stories, where he pinched my backside and promptly learned A) I have good reflexes and B) Sharp Elbows.

A take on [ profile] indigoskynet's answers...

I am a

Occupying the last position in the Chinese Zodiac, the 12th, the Pig symbolizes such character traits as diligence, compassion, and generosity. Pigs enjoy life and because they are entertaining, others enjoy their company. Pigs are giving souls and reap much enjoyment when they’re helping others, but sometimes they give too much. Honesty is what Pigs give and it’s what they expect to receive in return.

Pigs seek peace and will do what is necessary to maintain it. This trait, while admirable, sometimes makes it easy for others to take advantage of Pigs. Pigs are always doing for others, helping anyway they can, but rarely will they ask others for help. This can overwhelm and stress them, but Pigs don’t mind.

When it comes to money, Pigs enjoy spending more than saving. They gravitate towards name brand items. Thriftiness happens only occasionally, but Pigs do know how to find great deals.
Fuzzy's Take: Okay, fairly right on most points. I do like helping out other people quite a bit, it gives me a warm squishy feeling inside. You wanna honk me off starting unneccessary drama such as starting a fight just for the sake of a fight is one way to do it. And I do really like it when people are upfront with me. However I take offense to the spending more than saving bit, I do save whatever I can for fun things later if they're available, it's saying something that of my 3 siblings I tend to save whatever I get and not buy readily.

Always seeking fun, Pigs often indulge more than they should. Excessive eating, drinking and smoking can cause sickness. Pigs aren’t very active and, combined with their excessive behaviors, cause them to gain weight. Pigs are social and being alone makes them unhappy. Pigs would benefit from adopting a healthier lifestyle.
Fuzzy's Take: I admit I do have a weight problem, from excessive eating and a lack of exercise. I do like being with people, but to me social (the wisconsin definition: bars are social) seems to always be in the vein of 'hanging around with people I don't know' and that just skeezes me out a bit. Small group of friends playing games and snackin or DDRing? BRING IT ON.

Pigs enjoy helping at work and can always be counted on. They enjoy opportunities that allow them to express their creativity. Pigs are detail-oriented, a trait admired by management. Pigs aren’t afraid to take on responsibility. Some good career choices for Pigs include: entertainer, caterer, doctor, veterinarian, or interior decorator. They’d do well in retail or hospitality.
Fuzzy's Take: Haven't gotten a retail job yet but I did love doing the detail work and helping to decorate birthday cakes at the Bistro this past summer. I like doing work, but give me work that's just me going around on a hamster wheel and getting nowhere fast and I'll start wondering why the heck I'm there.

Supportive and giving, Pigs make great partners. They’re affectionate and sexual and prefer staying home to going out. They enjoy what they have, especially their home and family. Once they find the right partner, they’re typically committed for the long-term.
Fuzzy's Take: ...jury's still out on the sexual thing. I do prefer a night in with homecooked grub.

Water Pigs are trustworthy almost to a fault. Others can easily influence Water Pigs, but Water Pigs are also good at influencing others to get what they want. They’re extremely social and enjoy having a good time.
