Repairing holes in jeans, if you count putting a patch on, which I hope you do~ I can do a degree of clothing alteration, but nothing terribly complicated, so I didn't check that.

My mother taught me to do all of these. I suspect she would have taught me more if I showed more of an inclination to do them. As it was, I wanted to learn enough sewing to make doll clothes and the occasional costume, and to mend minor rips and tears without having to yell MOOOOOOM PLEASE FIX MY ____.

She taught me to cook as well, but I also taught myself more after leaving home, by way of recipes and experimentation. I also learned a few tricks by watching chefs in restaurants where we could see them cooking (learned how to do omelets by watching a chef at a brunch, the surprised my mother the next day by duplicating the trick).
