Rant of the jobless.
Hey folks, it's that time of the week again! Where your ever-freaking fuzzy rants about the latest exploits between her and her mom. This week, like the past 10 weeks.. it's about JOB HUNTING. Guess what sort of habit mom has developed so kindly for her daughter? ..can't figure it out? ...well here...
Every night she's been going over the newspapers from three different counties... That's right three. We live on the border of two and she works in another, you wanna know the FUN thing? She's been insisting that I sit through this demeaning event with her... and here's the LATEST BRILLIANT plan from the woman who thought working as a janitor at Kohler would be a GREAT idea.
This has been edited as to not give away the location details of where the work would be, while still giving info about WHO I would be working for. Please note this add bears a striking similarity to the add PUT OUT BY KOHLER.
Now then, my beef isn't with the ad similarity.. ..but with the job requirements. See the line highlighted in green? ...Yes, imagine the fun of the talk I had with mom when I tried to put it simply.. "Mom, I can barely lift 50 pounds ONCE a day.." "It's called toughening up" Bullshit. It's called torn muscles, exhaustion, and a growing need to drink to drown out the fact that I'm going to be cleaning SHITTERS again.
Doesn't matter that I'm trying to get a state license to be a bartender, because learning to deal with people is infinitely better than cleaning shit everyday... oh NO. It has to be FULL TIME. Mom, Kohler offered full time. It was a ruse to get PART TIME EMPLOYEES. They know anyone who is so desperate to answer newspaper ads is going to take ANY job that they can.
