Keyword: Erba?
Black and white drawing, early self portrait cartoon-style looking off to my left, words 'driven to distraction' in crossword-style blocks on each side of the face.

This icon started out as my 'whazzat' icon back on LJ, because during the time I was drawing this icon, I wore both the be-buttoned black beanie of bugfuh??? and a black hoodie nearly every single day. I still have the hardest time keeping track of the things going around me and my own mental processes, so this icon has come to be the symbol of "I have missed something here", "Attention Defici- OH SHINY", frantic double-checking, and anxiety issues. I drew this. I am now not certain if I should switch this old relic out or not. Added bonus, a google search of the phrase has shown me that "Driven to Distraction" is the name of an ADD self-help book!

Keyword: Plush bug, stitchery
A purple plush bug with an embellished body made of nubby purple fleece, with 6 bright green legs and two yellow jaws stares into the camera from atop a blue car hood, reaching for the camera, bold lime-green text bordered in black reads "Skree..."

I actually made, own this plush and sold off most of the others of his clutch. His name is Thooly and he generally accompanies me into bed every night. Thooly was made roughly...heck 6 years ago, when my mother was still dating a jerk, who refused to pack enough bug repellant when we went up the mom's family cabin during the summer. Between the heat and the number of ticks I picked off of myself and his dog I was too freaked to sleep.

When we got back because I went back to making toys and realized that I was still so danged freaked and still looking for ticks. So I thought let's just make something of this and be DONE with it. So with the remains of a few old purple fleecy sweatshirts, and some calico and buttons I made the first teeky bug, Thooly. The rest soon followed after and have now gone to other homes. Today this icon both represents a need for comforting items, and when I want to brag about my latest stitching experiment.

Keywords: Bordertown, fiction

Amazingly, before I ever even realized it, a novel set in Bordertown was my first introduction to Urban Fantasy. Fanfics, in my opinion at that time, did not count. The book was called Finder, not to be confused with the excellent comic series by Carla Speed McNeil of the same name. What blew me away in the first few chapters was the fact that this place operated with both magic, and craftsmenship. The papermiller's scene and lines just got me by the little grey cells and haven't really let go since then. When I heard that a NEW series was coming out, I was elated and this icon was one of the freebies from the website. Earlier this summer I got to meet the artist behind this icon and a few of the authors!

Keyword: Voip?, brainfart, derp
Description: Scribbled wacom color cartoon with the handwritten word bubble of 'voip?'

There are times when there are no thoughts in my head what so ever and this was, I'm told, an accurate depiction of the face I get for the 'whahuh?' experience. I loose my marbles often, and it's no surprise to anyone now that some of them are ball bearings, golfballs, turtle eggs, or little pearls. I had to find replacements somewhere.

Keyword: bento
description: a blue bento box lined with green lettuce contains an umeboshi stuffed riceball, fried purple potato and carrot stars with two pieces of tonkatsu in the back of the box, edged by two tiny chopsticks. The words "Bento: Japanese for Tiny CRACK" are above the photo.

I confess, after getting into anime i got into another expensive addiction. Making cute lunchboxes. I have a rather nice collection of mid-range bento boxes and accessories which as of late, haven't gotten much use. I used to photograph my boxed lunches whenever I could but as of late I haven't been making them as often. Most of the gallery still lies over in LJland, but sometime soon i hope to start posting photos of the cute food experiences again. This icon was painstakingly created with the polygonal lasso tool in photoshop, back when I had a working copy in a working computer.
