Right, so I've fallen behind on recent events after the 'ohgodwhat' of crazy and financial drainage. First off, I'm doing sort of okay in the most basic of senses. I've got food, rent paid, and two part time jobs. Still working on being more self-positive mentally but that isn't going to change overnight anyway.

Anyhow, anyone happen to know the best way to neutralize the smell of cat urine? Somehow Louie got shut in my room while I was at work all day yesterday and when I got back.. Well, I only found one of the bags he'd peed in. The other one I found tonight with a damp spot on the floor.

Oy.

Best way I know of is a product called Nature's Miracle. It actually breaks down the chemicals and enzymes in the urine. Most pet supply stores should have it. Don't know of any grocery store fixes though, sorry. Google search?

Here's one: http://www.catsofaustralia.com/urinestainremoval.htm

My mom has used something similar to this and says it works, though I haven't tried it myself.

Agreed -- that's what we used when our cats were having territorial fits of peeing on things. Spray it with Nature's Miracle as soon as possible, let it sit, blot the wetness up as much as you can. Repeat if needed.
