crazyfurriesWell today was the grande ole rigormorale of job hunting in the morning. Hit two temp agencies within an hour and had to get oil in the station wagon borrowed from my borther changed. Got cash from cleaning out the jackass's coindish and had enough to get me some PS238 goodness. i'm developing a distinct love for Aaron William's wry wit when it welcomes the superheros. There are no comments yet from the fangirlish side of me which wants to create a fan-character for tutoring purposes. ..shaddup.
Got food at a texmex place, got severely weirded out, when moments as I'm pulling up, there is a complete catholic grade school field trip that is making a munchie stop at Taco Hell. ...Eric, I heard that. No I didn't. I figured the poor saps that worked there had enough on their hands with about 30 kids ranging from 8-13 bombarding and hovering around the counter for food like deranged cranberry-colored pidgeons.
Also, saw missing children signs. who the FUCK names their kid Quadervio??? Seriously, why not stick a sign on his head that says "Verbally abuse me my peers, for I doth suck so badly my parents felt need to compensate and name me stangely" WTF?
Got my food, got water and soda, becuase this afternoon I was scheduled to donate plasma. I decided to do this since 1) I have no job. 2)Me wants $50 bucks a week. 3) It allows me time to read and sketch. The physical was more repetive annoyances, I fucking SWEAR I got read the "have you ever been to any of these aids carrying countries." the real fucked up one was "Have you had brain surgery within the past three months" ...shit you not, that's on the list of things they ask you. No, I'm a zombie coming in to donate my vile coagulated fliuds to better mankind. -DID- however manage to weird out one of the nurses when he asked if I was weirded out by his accent. Said no, he asked if I could pick out what kind of accent he had. "Hispanic, little texan drawl, but also some southern speech patterns. Near lousiana or the carolinas" He blinked, looked at the head nurse who had been overseeing his work, who was grinning from ear to ear. I had him dead on. He was from texas in the hispanic community, and had worked with several rednecks from the Alabama/lousiana area. I love being me.
In less than pleasant news I saw an old adversary at the donation clinic. For those of you who don't remember, there used to be a guy who followed after me in the local comic store, sniffing behind me. trying to hit on me when I was investigating Werewolf the Apocalypse (shaddup. ragabash sound like fun.) Let me run down the description for you. Pimply, greasy-faced metal goth, spoke with a severe lisp, had two missing teeth, wore enough cheap stupidmeI'mgoth jewelery that if someone turned on an electro-magnet he'd be stuck to it, told me flat out that he was a demon and this was his human form, all while wearing a NEON BLUE MONKEY DOLL that had it's arms velcroed around his forehead like a fucked up bandana and called himself the electric blue tree monkey. The poster boy for why parents shouldn't eat lead paint chips while pregnant or conceiving, or allow their kids to grow up watching a mix of cops, bad hercules, and buffy episodes. he didn't recognize me as thank god, I was nearly done donating at the time, and the technician was kind enough to keep me from view. (I think having my hair shorn short and no glasses aided in my ability to hide from him and any possible conversation) I got out, $20 richer (next donation is $30, they go on a weekly payment thing) and made for the jo ann's.
I now have pretty felt, calico, and enough sculpey for me to try making monsters with the stuff.
