Bad News Folks

Remember how I said I was getting overtime at the bistro?

It looks like I'm going to be getting even more.

One of last four salad/pizza line cooks just quit due to kidney illness. She's going back home to Japan to receive treatment. The thing is, on a weekend we need at least 2 salad/pizza people on every shift, more if there's an event in town. Guess what?

The Road America racetrack is having a MAJOR event this weekend. Tonight was like a Friday night and it was a weeknight. I got in an hour early, clocked out an hour later than usual.

And Since our little cook gave us no prior notice that she was heading home... Next weeks schedule isn't looking much better. I work 6:30 am morning shifts Friday and Saturday, and with our 4th gone, it is looking like I'll be doing double shifts those days to cover for her, if we don't find a replacement (which I kind of doubt we will...) quick.

This will extend as an apology and explanation to all cybernautical friends.

I'm sorry folks. I'm going to be eaten alive for the next week or so.
