Our old ancient electrical element system just had the last element burn out. Loudly. With great sparks and a burn of ozone. I mean it, we're sitting in the living room, waiting patiently for the water to boil for pasta for dinner and discussing my sewing plans when we hear a loud bzzzzrt! from the kitchen with an accompany short burst of sparks.
Needless to say, neither of us are amused.
