Mostly this has been happening in my old art and sewing areas, but I think three trash bags full of fabric to take to the charity shops is a good start.

The rule went that if I'd bought five years ago and never considered using it, it went into the bag. Course there's still more to go, and the drawing/painting area to take care of yet, but still progress made.
