I HAVE LANDED SAFELY
Jun. 5th, 2014 10:27 amLast night, after a 6+ hour flight (timezones are weird, and having hazardous winds at one airport is even weirder) I landed safely in Portland, Oregon.
And after a harrowing night of locating my friend while my phone died, I have gotten a good night's sleep at the hostel and a belly full of the finest goddamn baguettes I have had a chance to devour.
I'm also in a bit of a daze because OMFG I can see why people said I'd love living here. CLEAN AIR. I mean clean in a way that makes the open fields of Wisconsin have a bad case of the body-funk.
The hostel is turning out to be an awesome and utterly mind-boggling experience. Mostly because since I got into the communal kitchen at 8 am, met five people who loved my embroidery (two of whom bought patches!) and had three locations reccommended.
