new job opportunities...

As most of y'all know I've been self/unemployed for the past eight months or so. Recently I've found two jobs that are right now, hiring. Both are retail, one is at a hippie/international goods store. I go here often and really like the place and the managers. The owner however is new and I really haven't talked with this person yet.

the second job possibility is a bit more... out there. A local friend (who regularly buys my plushies) told me the other day about a store that is looking for late night cashiers. It's called Spice.. Now before you all jump to conclusions..


It's an adult novelty store. I've been there. They sell sex toys, incense, videos and the usual assortment. They don't sell the bondage stuff up here I guess because...uh. you know what let's SKIP that area for now. But basically I'd be working 28-35 hours a week. $7.50-9 an hour, I'd only have to stock the shelves and ring up the cash register. Apparently I'm allowed to keep mace and a cluestick handy.

SO!. ...I'm thinking about trying for the porn store.

Sadly, without the fun stuff, I won't be much of a customer even if I AM in the area. ^_^
