Things to do when I get to Bordertown:

1. upon finding a stable permanent residence, write my birthname onto a piece of paper, fold it up into a tiny strip, and nail the paper to a support bar.
-If the paper is damaged, move out within the month
-If the paper has fallen off of the nail, move within the week to someplace a few blocks away
-If the paper has burnt itself into ashes, get out of town, now.

Bordertown, where magic doesn't always work and your morning sky greeting is the shimmering half-real sky of the land of the fair folk across the Border.
