Comment to this post saying "FIVE!" and I will pick five things I would like you to talk about. They might make sense or be totally random.
Then post that list, with your commentary, to your journal. Other people can get lists from you, and the meme merrily perpetuates itself, hopefully for the rest of eternity!
(I don't really care if you say "FIVE" or let me know some other way. Just for the record.)
1-Time Is always such a fluid and then solid object for me to quantify. I never seem to have enough these days, but if you asked me during winter or during a baking shift I'd say it moved at a crawl instead of a sprint. I try to cram as much into my time as possible, but nothing gets so compressed as baking. There'll be moments when I wish I had more time, but over all I'm happy with what I've got. It helps that I try to be early to everything, screw you 'fashionably late'. And if you waste my time, I will be sore at you for a very long time.
2-Cooking Is a primal creative joy that spans this world, and I hope we never lose this. I love cooking because it really is an open edible branch of creativity, and have always loved it since I was a kid. Granted I do most of it for myself and myself alone when I'm at home. Between the one now huge food intolerance and my family and friends differing dietary needs/wants... I'm rarely without food on my mind. Unless it's tea.
3-Cosplay If my love and also the one thing I can not really take too much part in. I love cosplayers from TV, MOVIES, COMICS and BOOKS. It's one part a love of dressing up and another part fannish glee when I see someone from a canon I know. Two things hold me back from really taking part though, the most obvious being expenses for such a venture..and secondly I'm what is referred to as 'small in the chest, large in the breast'. This combined with the fact that on a good day I grace just over 5'4" with shoes on, makes me look rather squashed. I don't like the way I look.
4-Japan My fascination with this country started when I was VERY little, as I was learning Origami as part of ADD therapy and regular school. I even have the VHS of Big Bird Travels to Japan still from that wonderful time in the 80's when such videos happened on TV. This died down a bit during catholic school, but revived again during highschool when I started getting introduced to ANIME and started getting ANSWERS. About culture, about food, about what those little boxes the characters put so much emphasis on WERE, and most recently what kimonos ARE. I know enough to make the waitstaff at Japanese restaurants give me looks of 'wait, did she just ask for the TRADITIONAL dish?'.
5-Safety My family used to call this me being a 'chicken' but I am always worried about my safety and the safety of those close to me. I don't just leap into things without checking to make sure my rear is covered. One example at work is me working extra time to make enough bread to cover a huge event weekend, 'just for a safety net' because this event has a terrible history of calling me in at random times to cover things or remake what someone else LOST. I don't really know why this is.
