Well due to the fact that my family thinks i spend too much of my life around computers and the internet. Which i believe is highly biased, fromt he fact that they seem to think I spy on them I believe. in which case I don't. They just make complaints abotu hwo they're NEVER /ALONE/ with the computer. Well boo-hoo. And at any rate, I don't LIKE to go out at night, mostly because I don't feel comfortable with crowds, my friends are USUALLY WORKING thank you very much, and i'm basically left with jack to do. And I am NOT so desperate for something to do that will stimulate my braint aht i will go clean my ROOM. So there mom! pbbrt!

I get more itneraction and have much better conversations ONLINE, than I do when I talk with HER. Thankyouverymuch! Whenever she says, "We should talk.." What's she's really saying "I want to give you a lecture and not let you get a word in edgewise, or else convince me that I may not be right in my judgement." *raspberries motherly unit*

She wonders why I avoid contact with her most of the time. don't get me wrong, I love and worry about my mom at times. But she should know after having me as her daughter, that she will never catch me in a feminine formal dress, I am not a conversationalist, I don't like her music at ANY volume in which I can hear it from my bedroom, I'm a very private person and that means STAY OUT of my business unless i ASK for you damn help mom, I don't do things the normal way, I believe the word normal to be acurse word and a fairly nonsensical one at that, I'm not my brothers, I'm not her, and I'm not like the people that I hang out with around where i live.

The reason I am online most of the time is because there a lot more of MY kind of people who hang out on here. People who like the strangest things, people who don't GIVE A RATS @$$ if you happen to like the odd pineapple-chicken-garlic-jalapeno pizza, people who love art, micro-brew-type music, people who tell GREAT stories; both in text and in visual styles, people who don't like what's considered the norm. People that i find in the mIRC channels i hang around in, like #crfh.

Yeh I'm talking about youse guys, and an extra special sentiment towards Rigger.

I'm going to bed right after this, since i couldn't get the comp without being harassed all night.

*hugs Riggertight*

I guess I'll rant about this more, but for now, me sleepy.

luv talking/writing/ just plainhanging with y'all

*hugs back*

You go girl. Keep being the you I love.

*kiss*

Actually I've got a thought, if you want to try to make your mom understand why you spend time with the computer, why not invite her to sit in with you on an IRC session. Just give the crew a little warning and they'll be on their best behavior.

It may help. It certainly couldn't hurt at least for her to get to know us a bit. From what you've said she sound to at least be open minded about IRC and the whole online thing in general. (Unlike a certain parent of mine who won't be named here.)

Anyways, take care hon and I'm rooting for you. I've got a late work assignment tomorrow evening so I may not make it online then but I'll be around on the weekend and friday afternoon before my club meeting for sure.

*kiss*

I love you. Talk to you later.

Now that was like looking in a mental mirror. I actually reverse psycologied my parents out of this one. I said "Would you rather I was all hermitish with friends and happy, or find me dead in a ditch one fateful morning."

I'm good at weighted questions :P

Well, if being online makes you happy, then who the fuck gives a damn about what your parents say? I spend about 50% of my time at home online, %40 sleeping, and about 10% on random tasks. And I turned into a perfectly normal, well-rounded, and perfectly sane human being.

And sometimes, parents just don't understand that some people don't like to deal with meatspace. I do admit that people in meatspace tend towards normality, which can be both a good and a bad thing. But fortunately, I'm free of that particular hell.
